01 Apr How To Develop Courage When Facing Life’s Challenges
Awakening the Ogun In You
Last month many of us committed to the Spring Equinox Detox Fast for Renewal and Rebirth in honor of the Spring Equinox and the end of the winter season. If you haven’t done so yet, this is a good time to get started since Ogun, the energy of courage, determination, and zeal can be a good support.
All of us must face decisions that require us to be bold, zealous, and daring. When we go deep within, get still, surrender and open to spirit, then we find out that it was always there within us. Ogun is that source readily accessible to us.
- This month, in honor of Ogun, take some time to create a sacred space to awaken the Ogun in you. Place a glass of water and white candle on a small table. Hold a piece of iron in your hand during your meditations to awaken the strength that has always been there. You may use a meditation with nature sounds to give you the perception of being in the woods.
- You can add a little cayenne pepper in small doses to your meals this month to assist you in energizing and strengthening your heart muscle.
- This is also a great time to mend fences, settle bygone disagreements, and to find a way of strengthening special friendship bonds.
- Cleansing with my Ogun soap will help you to raise your endurance as well. Go to my website to order it.
- For protection on the highways and byways, bless your cars and heavy equipment by rubbing a piece of raw meat on your tires, blow some liquor on them, drip a little palm oil and honey on the bumpers as well, and pray for safety on the road.
I sincerely hope whatever challenge you face this month will only serve as fuel to remind you of what a significant gift from God you are.
What is the energy of Ogun?
Below is an excerpt from my book, Household Guide of Yoruba Spiritual Wellness
Ogun is the energy that governs courage, lack of fear, bodily harm, zealousness, and is motivated by situations that involve challenges or hard and dangerous work. Ogun’s colors are red, green, black, adn white.
On the new moon April 12, 2021 take a large green candle (in the jar); rinse the outside of the jar with water (the lower half first then the upper half). Proceed to write an affirmation of what work, job or position in life you want to receive and put this paper under the candle and allow it to burn for 7 days.
Every morning and evening, before going to bed, you should say the affirmation again, such as, “I am ready and open to receive my blessing which is _________(here state your desire).”
After the 7 days, a bath should be prepared with white flower petals, 1/2 tsp. of honey and the water from a coconut that has been broken open. Proceed to take your regular shower and then pour this mixture over your head and body while you give thanks to your guardian spirit or guardian angel.
The uses of herbs such as pine, cedarwood oil, frankincense or myrrh are good essences or herbs to be used when confronting dangerous situations.
Making a bath of holly, pine, and cedar leaves allow one to become heated, aggressive, commanding, and compelling.
This ritual can be used when you are going to look for a new job, changing careers, going to court or starting a new relationship as well as for money and entrepreneurship. HEALTH CORNER:THE IMPORTANCE OF A PERIODICAL CLEANSE OF THE GALLBLADDER
Health Corner:
THE IMPORTANCE OF A PERIODICAL CLEANSE OF THE GALLBLADDER
The gallbladder and liver are like brother and sister. They help each other in allowing us to live a healthy, happy, anger-free and stress-free life. The liver holds the memory of our addictions and unresolved anger. Ogun rules the spleen, the liver, and gallbladder. Those three work altogether. I commit to this cleanse every 3 to 4 years as a way to enhance my life and extend my longevity.

Gallstones and Kidney Stones
What does the gallbladder do?
The gallbladder stores bile, and releases it in optimum quantities when it is needed. Without your gallbladder, the liver will STILL produce bile, but the bile will leak inside of you because it will not have a proper place to go.
What is bile?
The spleen breaks down worn-out red blood cells into bile salts and other substances. Bile salts are normal in the body when in normal amounts.
While the products are in the gall bladder, water is reabsorbed and so the waste products get more and more concentrated and form bile.
Bile is needed for 3 things:
- It neutralizes the acid from the stomach (because bile is very alkaline).
- It breaks down fats so that they can be digested.
- It is a natural laxative for the colon.
Bile is essential in the digestion of fats. When you eat a meal with fats, the gallbladder releases a LARGE amount of bile to digest the fats.
What are gallstones?
Stones can form anywhere in the body where there is a liquid containing mineral salts that can be crystallized and where the fluid is held for a while in a hollow organ, such as the gallbladder.
The stones may be large or small, and sometimes grow together causing extra large stones. Small stones are often excreted along with the bile and eliminated with no problem. Larger ones, however, can become lodged in the ducts, causing gallstone
colic, one of the most painful illnesses known. At other times, gallstones may be silent.
A gallstone is not a true stone. They are rather rubbery and soft. Most gallstones float. They are mostly green. The size varies from rice grains to golf balls.
Be sure to take HELP Super Cleanse Formula twice a day.
