01 May Blessed New Month of May Honoring Songo
You are Power-Filled!!!!
I am so blessed and happy to share my newsletter with you this month! I thank you for allowing me to serve you as I share my passion and love of spirit and my life’s work with you. The month of May is the time to awaken, celebrate, and honor the energy center of power that exists, flows and is accessible to every living thing. Some know this power as the Divine Power of SONGO, SHONGO, JAKUTA, HEVIOSO, etc.
According to Yoruba mythological stories about the Orisha Songo; Songo was a very powerful unconquerable king who reincarnated and still lives and manifests as the fire, strength and unconquerable energy that is required to overcome challenges we face on earth. When in balance and used harmoniously, actions and reactions benefit everyone and everything.
Just as Songo reincarnated, so can we. Whenever we are facing what may seem like unsurmountable challenges in our life, we too have the power to live after what seems like a death.
Songo is the essence of power that when awakened and balanced, manifests as a person who has vision, strength, compassion and love. We become power-full, rather than having power-over something or someone. When in balance and used harmoniously, actions and reactions benefit everyone and everything. These are aspects of Songo’s energy that we all possess. When the energy of Songo is dormant or unbalanced in a person, it manifests as low self-esteem, arrogance, timidity, and feelings of powerlessness and victimization.
During the month of May; Remember that you have the ability to rise to your best and be KING of your own life or fall to your lowest and be victim. Within us all we find the power of a seed to sprout and a heart to heal.
During this month, see what happens when you take 10 minutes and record all of the things that you are unhappy about. I mean, record it with all of the passion, anger, rage, feelings, people, places and things that have kept you trapped in dis-empowerment. Once finished, play this recording everyday for exactly 10 minutes. Play your healing recording until you no longer feel its power. For some it may take 3 days and for others it may take longer. Laugh when in doubt and don’t give up. This is a very powerful practice. Now is the time to wake up your Songo and allow that Power to manifest as abundance, new loves, new job, and heck, maybe even a new you!
Songo Empowerment Ritual
Take a large white candle (which you will light during your worship), one large vase of 6 dark roses (changing whenever they have wilted), 1 large brandy snifter or large glass with fresh water, 1 small garnet stone or any red gem. Put a gold colored bowl with coins from different countries (it is even better if you can find gold coin). You can use gold covered chocolate coins (available at some candy stores). Pray at the altar on Sundays at sunrise and ask for what you expect, wish or dream of
