01 Sep September Newsletter – The Season of Oya
Happy, Blessed month of September as we enter the season of celebration for Oya the energy of change, explosión passion , death and transformation.
Just a friendly reminder: life is far too short to be overwhelmed by fear, disappointment and stress. Let our spiritual inspiration come to the rescue and add a touch of magic to our daily activities. It’s time to take control of your life and truly enjoy every precious moment. This year’s rotation around the sun for me is making me feel so happy, worthy and deserving of Obatala and all of my Orisa’s grace. Annually August is the month of the year where I feel like I am juggling balls as I try to make sure none of them hit me on the head 
If you’ve read my autobiography “The Living Shrine”, you know why my Orisa anniversary and my earth day fall in the same month. I’ve finally discerned the scope of the phenomenon. During this annual time it’s not the time to fuse the things I want to let go of on the physical earthly. mundane time with the powerful and subtle influence of Orisa’s and Ancestral gracious rewards and blessings from sacrifices already done. Obatala’s anniversary Bebme drumming on August 25th was the spark that gave me the shift. I thank each and every one of you who have challenged me, poured into me, supported my work, prayed for me, laughed and cried with me this past year.
Obatala, me, all of my Orisa and Ancestors saw you and will bless you and reward you immeasurably for that. As I enter my 77th earthday and my 54th Orisa anniversary, I invite you to take bold steps with us as we make this new season a time of releasing, reneging anything that has the potential to hold or set us back. New ideas, opportunities, classes, experiences, training, workshops, retreats, initiations and expansion of our community will be here to assist you and your family.
