  • Be aware of challenges coming from the realm of the ancestors
  • Obatala is the Orisha that will give help and assistance this year. Plan and have a strategy for the things you desire.
  • Remember, invoke spirit in everything you do; it will serve you well in your daily activities and interaction with each other.
  • The monkey can’t trust his own tail; Be mindful of betrayal.
  • Those who understand the power of the ancestors can expand their abundance.
  • Plan and organize when dealing with the ancestors. Understanding and practicing ancestral veneration is important. We must work together as nation. Connect with the spirits of this land; visit museums, exhibits, etc. Represent the African culture in places of prominence. Take care of altar or shrine. Make sure children are grounded in the power of family lineages so they are fortified.
  • Learn the history/legacy of family land and the importance of maintaining that land. Genealogy research is important to continue to learn about ancestors and family history of all cultures.
  • Perform lots of cleansing for your head. Bless it daily.
  • Know who you are if you are going to teach. Who you are is transparent and you will be seen.
  • Be mindful when making international travel arrangements; Be flexible if they don’t pan out the way you thought or somehow get spoiled.
  • Be mindful of actions that may cause accidents, explosions, sickness, death.
  • Avoid consuming large quantities of alcohol this year.
  • Do not go out late at night without a specific purpose, because there may be negative energies that could influence you.
  • Take measures to protect your homes. Keep the inside/outside of your homes well lit.
  • Stay vigilant around children and keep them safe from danger on all levels.
  • Remain vigilant about our health; Seek guidance/counseling with issues surrounding mental health (depletion, exhaustion, etc.). Take precautions to guard against respiratory illness. Pay attention to reproductive systems.
  • The way we carry ourselves/personal conduct will be very important.
  • For those who are getting married this year,  remember the wedding is not the marriage. Be smart/strategic about how you use the money. (Wedding vs Wealth).
  • Put plans in place to be prepared for family emergencies that may arise; update legal documents, create a family budget, review/update medical documents, etc.
  • Don’t talk about your plans with people that don’t have involvement with them. They could be foiled.
  • Keep your house clean to avoid collecting negative energy.
