12 Aug Young Iyalode Yeyefini
I remember the day I took this photo in Republic of Panamá. My mother was leaving us to come to the USA,leaving me with a woman who’s spirit and mine clashed daily. The blessing of living with her for 2 1/2 years was that through longing and crying for my mother, I found solace listening to the drums, songs, smells, dances and rhythm played next door at night at a Beginite african spiritual church. This was my first introduction to african based spiritual practices. Spirit always knows what we need even when we think it gave up on us.
Who knew this little girl would one day be a mother, priestess, diviner, entrepreneur, author, singer, teacher, change her name several times, be a lifelong student, counselor and overall happy person. Don’t give up on your self, your dreams or on your children’s potential. Within each of us is a little child still bursting inside to say “ I am loved, I am loving and I am well with God”
Join me on thinkific on Oreiiask (friends of the IIAsk) class this evening as I share “ What’s in a name”

Posted at 14:55h, 12 AugustI am in the midst of grieving the lose of my eldest son and all that comes along this journey called grief.
I can identify with many of your words of wisdom, as I too was separated from my Mother at a young age, changed my name and many other life time stories.
Thank you for sharing, you are a blessing in my life.

Posted at 23:15h, 12 AugustGood evening, my heart goes out to you and your family Please know that your son is still with you in spirit so remember the good times that made you laugh together In our tradition you can start calling on his spirit and place him on your altar after at least 9 months after his passing. This gives his spirit an opportunity to disconnect from the early plane. I hope my words can help you through this time of your live Blessings

Posted at 12:46h, 13 AugustPeace Great Being of Light Yeyefini. I have been following you for some time and habe purchased your books. You have mothered me in so many ways. When I listen to your story, I am reminded of my own life path. But most importantly, the way you choose joy and peace despite it all. You are an example of Divine Feminine – an energy I wish to embody more and more everyday. Thank you for showing me the way. Thank you for being you!
