06 Nov My garden is brown but I am still happy
On this Ose Ogun, Orisa Oko. Osossi day I am calling on the spirit of gratitude to remember that everything comes to us for a Season Reason or Lifetime. My summer garden was a long life dream of being able to pick food and Orisa/Osain herbs for healing and grounding. I was sad for a few minutes as I walked in the garden’s gate to witness my garden gone!!
The freezing temperatures here in N C came not as a surprise. It’s that time of year, but it still tugs at my heart like a child who now knows that their teeth will grow back. Friends and family came by to help me put many of the herbs inside to dry and store for use later … photos to come soon. Goats and chickens tucked away as everything green and lush is now browning. I snapped out of my whoa is me back to feeling grateful for what I had this summer. Thanks to everyone who helped even through trial and error to make my garden and Orisa Oko happy.
If you missed last night’s Ask Yeyefini Show, check it otu. The topic was : How to use African Spirituality to assist you during the upcoming Holiday Season which for some can be challenging
Have a Blissful grateful day
