Spiritual Consultation of the African in the Diaspora
Ruling Odu: Obara-fun; Osa-di ayewo; Tia-tia osogbo; Osa-Meji elese eleda
-
As Africans in the Diaspora we need to come together and find strength in our differences and use our similarities to move us forward as a people collectively.
-
In this year we will see our people being very dramatic and at odds with one another in the news and on social media outlets.
-
As a collective, it is important to display cultural and racial pride.
-
When starting new projects and social issues in the African Diaspora be mindful to keep that motivation going to ensure success.
-
We will not be able to reach our highest power and potential by using underhanded means we have to move upright and with integrity.
-
It is important to reestablish in our community the importance of the African family, the father, the mother and the children.
-
Honor and respect the elders in our families and communities.
-
Don’t procrastinate, commit and follow through with your plans.
-
Take accountability for the things in our community that are damaging to us and work collectively to find solutions.
-
We need not only to progress in our communities but also in the Diaspora overall.
-
Be mindful of foodborne illnesses, parasites or allergies.
-
Be careful of sexually transmitted diseases in the African community.
-
Bitterness attracts more bitterness, so if we walk around with a negative mindset we will attract more negativity.
-
We have to make sure that we are not against one another as well as not being against our own self.
-
We need to ensure that we are taking better care of ourselves so that the change that is coming we are able to grasp the positive aspects of the environment.
Ebo: Get a white horse and put it at your Sango shrine. If you do not have a shrine, put it somewhere in your house. When you feel disconnected from your community, meditate to this image and sense yourself in community. This also can be used when you have to connect with someone who you feel there may be a disconnect or squabble, meditate to this horse to be able to come together in peace.
Closing Odu: Ejionle-Irosun “You were born for the head, you should not remain in the tail”.
