Blessed Teaching Tuesday, Ose Songo and Oya. As we continue under the influence of our mother Goddess Oya, the Queen of transformation and death, how has she opened up your lungs, your sense of self, confidence and bravery. On my altar of Oya her crown has all of the tools of  her husband Ogun who she assisted in enhancing from not only being a warrior, but also  maker of the tools of farming, transportation and civilization. Thanks to all of you who attended our virtual oya meditation on this past Sunday. She gave us each a gift . What was yours? For me, she changed one of the beliefs I’ve had for many years regarding parenting my adult children.

It’s interesting to watch from a distance sometimes how parents of adult children swim through the river of life as the course, and strength of the river continues to change, flow and feed life. When we raise our children to be strong, speak their own truth, stand firm in their beliefs and they show up as that, it can be frightening, humbling nd beautiful all at the same time. I thank my 3 birth children for choosing me to be the boat that brought them to their adventurous life. Thank you Oya for your love and graceful wisdom.
