14 May Registration Now Open: Teen Rites of Passage 2026
For generations, every society has created intentional ways to guide young people from childhood into adulthood. The Teen Rites of Passage Program was designed to do exactly that.
Founded by Iyalode Yeyefini Efunbolade in 1992, this transformative experience helps youth ages 12–17 develop emotional awareness, spiritual grounding, discipline, self-confidence, leadership skills, and a stronger understanding of their purpose and responsibilities as they grow into adulthood.
Through interactive Zoom classes and an immersive in-person retreat, participants will explore:
• African spirituality and ritual
• Ancestor reverence and meditation
• Yoruba cosmology and journaling
• Stress relief and emotional wellness
• Health, nutrition, organization, and life skills
• Self-realization and future planning
Students will also gain tools to resist destructive behaviors and make healthier, more empowered life choices in today’s challenging social environment.
🗓 Class Dates: June 14, June 28 & July 12, 2026
📍 Retreat: July 22–28, 2026 | Winston-Salem, NC
