Happy Father’s Day, Ose Ifa, and upcoming summer solstice detoxing time. Today we honor all of our fathers on the ancestral realm and those who are still on earth. Today we honor you for your strength, courage, resilience as I acknowledge your pain your work of self discovery which oftentimes is not celebrated. You are appreciated for your continued willingness to protect and provide for your family, self and community. It’s important to know that without you, we women would not be able to produce our children, feel safe, encouraged and balanced. Dear fathers. I am grateful for all that society tries to deny your rights to be, do or have. For those fathers who haven’t been able to be who you know you can be, I pray that today and everyday forward you will find other men and women to assist you in your growth and evolution as a kingman
